Last night we celebrated our Valentine’s Day. Mike got me tickets to see “Wicked” and the play is here only until Sunday, so we celebrated early with the show and a dinner too.
Mike got straight home from work, sitter came, we took a pic for the scrapbook, and were off!
I had no idea where we were going for dinner, just knew it was close to where the play was showing.
Mike surprised me by picking out a new place, and it did not disappoint.
Nine on Nine was the pick, a very nice dining place to go to especially before you are going to see a play in the city.
The menu had lots of great choices, it was hard to decide what we wanted to eat. One decision never hard to make, wine….
Mike got a vodka and tonic, switched it up!
I ordered the beet salad to start, was very fresh and delicious.
Ummmm, I also have to state that the bread is amazing. The chocolate bread, to die for. I was trying not to eat it all, it was like dessert before dinner, which is totally cool in my book.
My entree I got the Tasmanian Salmon, can never go wrong with salmon from a fine dining place especially! Was amazing.
Mike ordered the Barramundi and Monkfish, he LOVED it. I would say his plate was cleared in 3 minutes. The entree is a newer menu item that was recommended by our server, it was a win for sure.
We both were too full for dessert, but next time for sure we hope to try some there. Nine on Nine is a plus in our books, we will be back!
Then it was time…..
Wicked!
We each got a drink at the play while we waited, we got there a little early so we enjoyed our drinks before we went in to be seated.
Cheers to fancy plastic cups!
Show time….
And that is obviously after I put my phone away. The play was awesome, and Mike enjoyed it so much too. I was so glad he was able to see it, it is one of my favorite plays. Mike was blown away by how amazing the singing was and just all the costumes. This was his first time going to a play, so it was cool for him to see this play first. A great pick I say
We had a really great night, was nice to have a night without little man and to enjoy a long evening together. Mike and I of course talked about Rocco, haha! We just talked about how blessed we are to have Rocco and Anthony, how life goes so fast, and how we really are grateful for each day we get.
It was nice to have time together, we both loved celebrating Valentine’s Day early. I have a special at home Valentine’s Day planned for Mike next Friday, and that will be nice too!
Well I am off to eat some cinnamon toast crunch and whole grain O’s that are hiding in that bowl too for breakfast. All about balance people
Happy Friday! Not sure what we have planned this weekend, but I just know more snow is coming!

Anyone ever seen Wicked? I saw it in Chicago, and again last night obviously ; )
Favorite not so healthy cereal? Lucky Charms, Golden Grahams, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Reese’s PB Puffs!
And because you have to have SOME cuteness in your Friday…
